The Journal of Accounting and Management Information Systems is published quarterly starting 2002 and quickly became reputed in the Romanian accounting academic environment, hosting papers authored by both prestigious and young foreign and Romanian researchers in the field of accounting, financial analysis, management information systems and law.
The Journal of Accounting and Management Information Systems (JAMIS) aims to become and act as the primary journal publishing papers in the accounting domain, representative for the countries of the Central and Eastern Europe. Aimed at promoting research in general, and research conducted in this part of the world in particular, JAMIS encourages the international dialogue and supports the exchange of ideas among researchers belonging to different universities and research paradigms.
The journal is edited in partnership with:
- The West University of Timişoara, Romania;
- The „Al.I.Cuza” University of Iaşi, Romania;
- The „Babeş-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
Consistent to its commitment of increasing the visibility of research conducted in this region, the Journal is proud to announce its agreement of collaboration with the esteemed International Journal of Accounting and Information Management, published by Emerald.
The Journal Accounting and Management Information Systems is covered and indexed in:
REPEC, EBSCO, ProQuest, IndexCopernicus Journals Master List and Ulrich's Periodicals Directory.
Recently JAMIS has been included in the ESSEC's Ranking of Journals 2011.
Also, the Journal is currently under review at a number of other international prestigious databases and catalogues. These collaborations will be announced as soon as they are concluded.
JAMIS proudly published a special issue of the Journal, guest edited by David Alexander of the University of Birmingham (UK) and Catalin Albu of the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies (Romania), dedicated to "National perspectives on international accounting harmonization". The special issue has been published as the Vol. 10 Issue 2 of 2011, and it comprises a number of papers representative of several national environments, in an international perspective.
